Miss Czech-Slovak US 2025-2026
Madelyn Karstedt
Miss Czech Slovak Queen 2025-2026 Madelyn Karstedt has attended a number of events in the first half of her reign and has worked with her royal court on various social media projects.
Her first event as Queen was attending a Fort Bend County Czech Heritage Society meeting where she shared about her experience at the national pageant. She has since attended a number of events in her home state including West Fest, the Caldwell Kolache Festival, a concert at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural center featuring Mladá Muzika Šardice and Kyjov Cimbál Band, Czech and Slovak Heritage Day at Sokol Dallas, the Czech National Day Texas Gala at Pivovar in Waco, Český Večer in Jarrel, and the Fayette County Czech Heritae Society Christmas Party. Madelyn also had the privilege of presenting at the Smith-McMillan Chapter of the Daughter of the American Revolution’s Christmas Party and to students at Fayetteville ISD.
Journeying outside of Texas, Madelyn attended The United Moravian Societies’ Moravian Day in Lemont, IL, Oklahoma Czech Festival in Yukon, OK, Virginia Czech and Slovak Folklife Festival in Prince George County, VA, and the National Czech and Slovak Museum’s Old World Christmas Market in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Madelyn and her Royal Court have also collaborated on many online and social media project including Zoom Story Times, Teď To Víš, and Kroje Korner. Madelyn also began her personal social media series Kniha Korner. The Royal Court hopes that these projects help to get more people involved in Czech and Slovak heritage through social media.
Madelyn is excitedly looking forward to what will come as she continues her reign into 2026. She is looking forward to the Libuse Czech Festival in Libuse, LA, EU Open House in Washington D.C, and her upcoming trip to Czech Republic this summer.
